    Virginia Jenkins will serve as the team's student assistant this season after wrapping up her four-year career with the Bulldogs in 2002. Jenkins will assist the coaching staff with various administrative and clerical duties on the field and in the office. Jenkins will also assist in women's soccer promotions with the marketing department.

    Known best as a reliable defender, Jenkins started 62 of the team's 79 games during her Fresno State tenure and played in 59 consecutive matches to finish out her career. She tallied four goals, seven assists and 15 points from 1999-2002 and currently ranks fifth on the all-time assists list.

    Jenkins, a three-time WAC All-Academic selection, was also a four-time Fresno State Scholar Athlete award winner and a three-time WAC Scholar-Athlete recipient.

    A four-year letterwinner at Cabrillo High School, Jenkins hails from Lompoc, Calif., and was born Mar. 19, 1981. She has one younger brother, Peter.
