Lindsey Sosovec enters her second season as an assistant coach for the soccer program. In addition to her coaching duties, she serves as the team's recruiting coordinator and goalkeeper coach.
Under Sosovec's tutelage in 2004, goalkeeper Jeannette Paine established season-best totals in saves, goals allowed and GAA.
Sosovec came to Fresno State after spending the previous two seasons as goalkeeper coach and graduate assistant at South Dakota State University. A native of Cheyenne, Wyo., Sosovec played collegiately at National American University (NAU) in South Dakota, where she earned All-America honors in 1999 and 2000 as a goalkeeper. She was also an NAIA All-America scholar athlete in 2000 and 2001.
Last summer, she served as a staff coach for the Region II Olympic Development Program (ODP), as well as the goalkeeper coach for South Dakota ODP. She holds a "C" National Coaching License from the USSF and a Level II Goalkeeping Diploma from the NSCAA.
Sosovec is the goalkeeper coach for the California North ODP and serves on the Region IV ODP staff. She also coaches an U-13 Bullard Valley FC team.
A 2001 graduate of NAU, Sosovec obtained her bachelor's degree in business administration and sports management. She earned her master's degree in sports pedagogy from South Dakota State in May of 2004.
