FULLERTON, Calif. --- The Fresno State soccer team lost to Cal State Fullerton 1-0 at Titan Stadium on Sunday evening.

"We played a very good game away from home against Cal State Fullerton," said Fresno State head coach Brian Zwaschka. "With the exception of falling asleep for a critical minute right at the end of the first half, we played quite well today."

Fresno State held Cal State Fullerton scoreless until the 44th minute of the game. With just one minute left in the first half, Christina Burkenroad put the ball in the left corner from inside the box to put the Titans up 1-0.

In the second half of the game both teams put up six shots a piece though the scoreboard read 1-0 at the final buzzer to secure the Titans' win.

"We responded well, and we came back in the second half and connected and really turned up our game," added Zwaschka.

The Bulldogs put up a total of nine shots against the Titans and were led by senior Morgan Castain who had four shots. Megan Mossman also recorded two shots and one shot on goal.

The 'Dogs (0-2) return to Bulldog Stadium for their home opener this Saturday at 7 p.m. The Fresno State Soccer team is attempting to break the national attendance record for a women's soccer game. Join the team in making history as they take on No. 16 Santa Clara for Project 9000!
