FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's soccer team played a tough match against UC Santa Barbara that lasted 110 minutes before the game ended in a 0-0 draw. The game went into double overtime and is the first tie the Bulldogs have recorded under head coach Brian Zwaschka. The `Dogs overall record of 4-5-1 this season.

"I was really proud of the team for the way they battled playing a good team," said Zwaschka. "They were organized. Both teams tried to attack today and it was a great game to watch despite the fact that no goals were scored. It was a testament to good goalkeeping and defending on both ends."

Senior Janna Sadowitz had a close attempt on goal in the first half. Vanessa Gonzalez played a ball through to Sadowitz, who beat the Gaucho defender and she then took a shot that sailed wide.

The Bulldogs kept the pressure on with another close call from Bradlee DeShane. The senior took a shot from well outside the 18-yard box and Gaucho goalkeeper Makenna Henry made a great save keeping the game scoreless.

Each team had six shots in the scoreless first half.

In the second half, the `Dogs recorded five shots. Megan Ashjian and Gonzalez led the team with three shots each against UCSB. All three of Gonzalez' shots were on goal.

Senior goalkeeper Kaitlyn Revel recorded her second shutout of the season and 26th of her career. She had three saves on the night.

Fresno State had a total of 12 shots in 110 minutes. Also contributing on the offensive attack for the Bulldogs with shots were Sadowitz, Laura Dodd, Claudia Cardenas and DeShane.
