    Box Score

Fresno, Calif. - Long Beach forward Kim Silos scored two goals and added an assist as Fresno State dropped their final non-conference game 4-0. The 49ers improve to 12-2-1 with the win, while the Bulldogs slip to 7-5-1 with the loss.

Long Beach State opened the game with the early advantage, taking the first three shots against the Bulldogs, but with all three sailing wide left, the Bulldogs were able to take the momentum back, evening the shot total at three apiece as Cortney Sobrero sent two shots on goal in the 19th and 22nd minute, and Antonea Lugo forced Long Beach goaltender Liz Ramos to make her third save in the first 25 minutes.

The Fresno State advantage was short-lived however, as Kim Silos' corner kick in the 29th minute was converted into a goal by Hayley Bolt off of a deflected header. Taking advantage of the quick switch in scoring opportunities, Long Beach added a second goal a minute later, with the roles reversed as Bolt assisted a Silos goal to set the `Dogs back 2-0.

Both teams came out firing at the beginning of the half, with Fresno State taking two shots to Long Beach's one in the first five minutes, but again it was Long Beach being the first team to convert, scoring in 66th minute, and again taking quick advantage of the initial score to add another, putting a goal home in the 68th minute.

Fresno State returns home for two games this weekend, hosting Idaho and Boise State as the team looks to remain unbeaten in conference play. First up is winless Idaho on Friday night at 7 p.m., before the `Dogs welcome Boise State to Bulldog Stadium at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
