DALLAS - Fresno State will wait until the WAC decides if Friday's match against SMU is official. FS was losing 3-0 when play was halted due to lighting at the 77:05 mark.

The Bulldogs allowed three goals in a period for the third consecutive time on 13 shots.

FS was held to only six shots with four being on goal.

The Bulldog defense held SMU to only five shots in the first half but three of those shots found the net for the Mustangs.

SMU forward Kim Harvey scored the first two goals at the 11:26 and 14:16 mark.

The third goal came from midfielder Tara Comfort at the 26:41 mark. Comfort chased down a loose ball on the left side and beat goalkeeper Mary-tyler Wahl (Riverside, Calif.) to score.

The defense settled down after the third score and forced Southern Methodist into poor shots the rest of the match. The offense, however, could never get going shooting only six balls the whole match.

"It's a shame we didn't get to finish the match," said Coach Welp, "We were playing better in the second half but we're still struggling to put 90 minutes of quality soccer together."

The Bulldogs' record stays at 4-6 with a 1-1 WAC mark. They will be at UTEP on Sunday at Noon.
