FRESNO, Calif. --- The Fresno State soccer team rallied past Boise State to walk away with a 2-1 victory on Sunday afternoon in Bulldog Stadium.
Fresno State (7-7-1, 4-2 MW) has won its last four games, which is the longest win streak the Bulldogs have had since 2010.
"We feel great, we have been playing with more and more discipline in every match," said Fresno State head coach Brian Zwaschka. "Today we saw the team absolutely execute the game plan that I was very, very impressed by."
Boise State was the first to get on the board, gaining an early 1-0 lead with a goal from forward KT Clayton in the 10th minute of the game.
The Bulldogs scored the tying goal in the 43rd minute with a goal from senior Morgan Castain. Castain leads the Bulldogs and the Mountain West with nine goals this season.
Senior Megan Mossman came off the bench to start the second half and scored the game-winning goal just two minutes in. With a cross from Castain, Mossman who found the back of the net to take the 2-1 lead over Boise State.
"Our bench all year might as well be starters, because they have been so impactful and getting significant minutes," said Zwaschka. "We aren't surprised by the fact that she (Mossman) came off and got a goal. It comes down to players being ready and hungry when they go in."
Fresno State was able to hold back the Broncos the remaining 43 minutes to secure a 2-1 conference victory.
"We take every game one game at a time," added Zwaschka. "That is all we have been doing all season. I am really thrilled for the team that we are having some success right now and there is no doubt in my mind that they are going to associate it with the simple discipline that we have been training."
After winning the last four conference games at home, the Bulldogs now hit the road for two away games. Fresno State first plays at Wyoming on Friday, Oct. 18 at 2 p.m. PT, and then travel to play Air Force on Sunday Oct. 20 at 11 a.m. PT. The last time you can watch the 'Dogs at home will be on Friday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. when they host first year program Colorado State for Senior Day in Bulldog Stadium.
