Soccer Sets Summer Camp Schedule

    FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State women's soccer set the dates for its 2012 summer camps, the staff announced Thursday. The Bulldogs are offering a Residential Camp along with three different types of summer day camps.

    "We believe that these camps offer the perfect fit for every soccer player in the area," said head coach Brian Zwaschka. "They are for those just beginning, to those looking to play at the highest level in college."

    Each skills camp offers a unique opportunity for individual attention from the elite, college-level coaching staff and the day camps cater to children of all ages and ability levels.

    "Our commitment to providing such an array of camps is another example of this programs continued dedication to developing soccer in the Valley," added Zwaschka.

    Residential Camp (June 26-29)
    For rising freshman, sophomores, juniors and seniors, this camp is designed to develop players in the advanced techniques and tactics necessary to excel at the college level as an attacker, defender or goalkeeper. The campers will take part in training sessions with elite, college-level staff coaches and learn how to reach their potential on the pitch. The residential camp is recommended for girls aged 13 and up who have an interest in learning what it is like to play at the elite NCAA Division I level.

    Youth Goalkeeper Camp (June 20-22)
    For boys and girls aged 8-14, this camp is designed to develop a goalkeeper's skills in the areas of shot stopping, positioning, dealing with crosses and breakaway situations and distribution. Campers will receive individual attention and be given specific feedback and coaching to help them improve.


     

     

    Youth Development Camp (July 9-13)
    For boys and girls aged 10-14, this camp is designed to develop each player's basic skills in a fun and challenging environment. Campers will polish their existing skills, learn more advanced techniques and develop the confidence and tactical ability to use them in small game situations.

    Young 'Dogs Day Camps (June 20-22 ... July 9-13 ... July 23-25)
    For boys and girls aged 4-11, this camp provides a fun learning environment for the aspiring soccer player. Campers will learn and develop all the basic skills necessary to be successful in the sport of soccer. Campers will receive individual attention and be grouped according to age and experience level.
