FRESNO, Calif. ---The Fresno State soccer team will travel to take on No. 1 Stanford in an exhibition match tonight at 7 p.m. at Laird Q. Cagan Stadium .

Fans can catch the action through a live video broadcast at www.gostanford.com. (Live video broadcast cancelled by Stanford as of 6:30 p.m.)

This will be the first time this year that the 'Dogs will have the opportunity to play against an opponent outside of team scrimmages.

"We know that it is going to be a challenge there which is why we scheduled it," said head coach Brian Zwaschka on the matchup with Stanford. "We want to make sure that we are playing against the best possible competition and that will give us a real barometer of where we are at."

Stanford enters the year as the defending national champions and the Cardinal were just voted No. 1 in the pre-season NSCAA/Continental Tire poll. Stanford will be the first of four matches against teams ranked in the preseason top 25 that Fresno State will face this year.
