Soccer Hosts No. 4/5 UCLA in Home Opener Friday

By Stephanie Juncker Mountain West Weekly Release No. 2 FRESNO, Calif. ---The Fresno State soccer team will play two games in the second week of the regular season, including the home opener. The 'Dogs will play host to the No. 4/5 UCLA Bruins at 7 p.m. on Friday night in Bulldog Stadium. The team will hit the road again on Sunday to face CSU Northridge at 1 p.m. on the Matador Soccer Field. The home opener on Friday night will serve as a Back to School and Greek Night with giveaways including autograph cards, Greek Life tanks, and FREE Fresno State ice cream! Fresno State tanks will be given to the first 100 Greeks to attend the game and Fresno State ice cream will be handed out for free to all who attend. Hancock Back At It Callie Hancock led the Bulldogs during the opening weekend on the road. She recorded both of the goals scored by the 'Dogs. This moves Hancock up the Fresno State all-time goals scored list to be tied for sixth with 16 goals. Hancock will look to top her total of 12 goals a season ago.
