    FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State women's soccer team heads across the country for two-game road trip against Florida International University of Sept. 3 and Florida Atlantic University on Sept. 5.

    The Bulldogs take a two-game winning streak into the weekend. So far this season, the `Dogs are 2-2.

    Fresno State vs. FIU
    The Bulldogs and Golden Panthers last met in 2008. The `Dogs won 1-0 with Alex Jensen scoring the game-winning goal. Fresno State leads the series 1-0. When the Bulldogs last played FIU, Claudia Cardenas was a member of the Golden Panthers roster.

    About the Golden Panthers
    FIU heads into the weekend with a record of 2-2. The Golden Panthers defeated Delaware State 4-1 on Aug. 27. Chelsea Leiva and Kassandra Sorzano leads the team in goals with two each. Goalkeeper Melanie Raimo has 19 saves and one shutout this season.

    Fresno State vs. FAU
    Sunday is the first meeting between the Bulldogs and Owls.

    About the Owls
    FAU is 0-2 so far this season. The Owls lost their last game 3-0 to Florida. Marisa Russo leads the team in points with three. She has a goal and an assist. Goalkeeper Ashley Lantes has two saves.

    Weekend Wrap Up
    The Bulldogs went 2-0 over the weekend winning the 2010 Miner Classic. The `Dogs kicked off the tournament with a 2-1 win over host UTEP. Laura Dodd and Claudia Cardenas scored the goals. Fresno State concluded the weekend with a 1-0 win over Texas State. Janna Sadowitz broke the 0-0 tie in the second overtime period. Kaitlyn Revel and the defense recorded their first shutout of the year. Revel recorded six saves over the weekend and the offense outshot the opposition 33-16.

    Defensive `Dogs
    Kaitlyn Revel and the Bulldogs recorded their first shutout of the season against Texas State. The `Dogs have gone 114 minutes without allowing a goal. Fresno State's defense allowed only one goal the whole weekend in El Paso, Texas. The defense limited their opponents to 16 shots in two games and only one goal.

    Bulldog Scoring Frenzy
    The Bulldogs found the back of the net in Texas and unleashed a scoring a frenzy. The `Dogs scored three goals in two games and carry a two-game winning streak into the weekend. Laura Dodd, Claudia Cardenas and Janna Sadowitz recorded their first goals of the season. Dodd and Sadowitz scored game-winning goals. Last weekend, the Bulldogs racked up 33 shots in two games. Junior Molly Nizzoli leads the team in shots with 10.

    "We Are Your Team" The `Dogs hit the road again Sept. 3-5 facing FIU and FAU. Fresno State kicks off the tournament against the Golden Panthers on Friday night. The Bulldogs return home on Sept. 12 and play the Aggies of UC Davis. Admission to all soccer games is free for everyone.
