    Fresno State vs. CSU Bakersfield
    The last time the `Dogs and `Runners squared off was Aug. 29, 2008 in Bakersfield, Calif. The Roadrunners won the first annual Valley Cup match, 2-1. The Bulldogs own the overall series against CSU Bakersfield, 3-1-1.

    About the Roadrunners
    CSU Bakersfield went 1-1 last weekend after beating Cal Poly, 2-1, and losing to UC Davis, 5-0. The Roadrunners have an overall record of 3-3. Sam Pena and Raquel Gervas are the leading goal scorers for the `Runners with two goals each. Kassi Massey leads the team with 10 shots. Goalkeeper Kim Gause 37 saves and one shutout this season.

    Fightin' for the Valley Cup
    The Bulldogs host the second annual Valley Cup this weekend. The first battle of the Valley Cup went to CSU Bakersfield when the Roadrunners beat Fresno State, 2-1, in 2008.

    Duff, Revel Honored at UCI Tournament
    Juniors Nicole Duff and Kaitlyn Revel earned all-tournament honors at the UC Irvine Tournament last weekend. Duff recorded three shots and two shots on goal for a shot percentage of .667. Revel had 13 saves for a save percentage of .765.

    Hancock Leading the Way
    Freshman Callie Hancock leads the team in shots with eight. She fired off four shots over the weekend at the UC Irvine Invitational. Hancock aslo had two shots against San Diego State and one against Long Beach State and Oregon.

    Revel Saves the Day
    Junior Kaitlyn Revel recorded a total of 13 saves last weekend in Irvine. She had a combined save percentage of .765 against UC Irvine and UC Riverside. She has 35 saves on the season. Revel has 219 career saves and ranks in among the top 10. She needs 22 more to tie for second in Fresno State history.

    "We Are Your Team" - September is Youth Soccer Month at Bulldog Stadium. Kids in 8th grade and under who wear their soccer jerseys to home games in the month of September will get into the game for free and receive $2 game tickets for the rest of the family. September's first home game is set for Sunday the 13th at 6pm against Cal State Bakersfield.
