SACRAMENTO, Calif. --- The Fresno State women's soccer team battled Sacramento State to a 2-2 tie in double overtime in Sacramento at Hornet Field.

"We played a pretty disciplined team game," Fresno State head coach Brian Zwaschka said. "The play in general was relatively even. We scored a couple of nice goals and our response to getting scored on was tremendous. The next play down the field we answered right away. It got interesting because of set pieces, and both teams capitalized on a few."

The Bulldogs' Kayla Kret scored her first goal of the season on a header to the far post while senior Morgan Castain netted her fourth goal this year in the 51st minute. Both Fresno State goals were assisted by Dani Rodrigues.

Fresno State (3-4-1) travels to Pepperdine for a match on Sunday afternoon in Malibu while continuing a four-contest road stretch before returning to the San Joaquin Valley on Oct. 4 for a Mountain West match-up with Nevada.
