COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. --- Fresno State junior Katie DeVault was named Mountain West Defensive Player of the week on Monday for matches played Oct. 15 through Oct. 20. This is DeVault's third straight MW weekly accolade.
DeVault Recorded 15 saves over the weekend to help guide Fresno State to a scoreless draw at Wyoming on Oct. 18 and a 2-1 double-overtime victory at Air Force on Oct. 20.
DeVault led Fresno State with 11 saves in the Bulldogs 0-0 draw at Wyoming, recording her fourth shutout of the season and 14th of her career. The junior goalkeeper then made four saves, including a crucial one in overtime in the win over the Falcons, as the Bulldogs ran their unbeaten streak to six games.
The Santa Ana, Calif. native leads the Mountain West with 84 saves this season and a save percentage of .840.
This is the fourth career MW weekly award for DeVault and eight Fresno State MW weekly accolade under head coach Brian Zwaschka.
The 'Dogs return home this Friday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m. when they host first year program Colorado State for Senior Day in Bulldog Stadium.
