COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.-The Mountain West announced the 2013 Women's Soccer All-Conference teams today. Fresno State senior forward Morgan Castain was named Offensive Player of the Year, while San Diego State senior defender Haley Palmer earned Defensive Player of the Year honors. Bulldog defender Ariana Holmes was named Freshman of the Year and Fresno State head coach Brian Zwaschka was named Coach of the Year. The two All-MW teams and individual awards were selected by the league's 11 head coaches.

Palmer, a two-time MW Defensive Player of the Year selection and four-time All-Conference honoree, led the Aztecs to the 2013 MW regular season title and the No. 1 seed in this week's MW Championship. She scored both goals in a 2-0 win at Utah State on Oct. 27 to secure the top seed and a second-consecutive MW title. Palmer was joined on the first team by teammates Victoria Barba (So., MF), Kelsey Booth (Jr., MF/F), Carli Johnson (Sr., D) and Hannah Keane (Jr., F).

Castain scored eight of her MW-leading 12 goals in Conference play. She also led the league with 26 points overall and 17 in MW action. She was joined on the All-MW first team by teammate Katie DeVault, a junior goalkeeper. Holmes was named to the second team. Zwaschka's Bulldogs rebounded from last year's 2-3-2 Conference record (4-11-5 overall) to finish second in the MW with a 7-2-1 mark (10-7-2 overall) and earn the No. 2 seed in the championship tournament.

Boise State was represented on the first team by Brooke Heidemann (So., MF) and Kathy Oehring (Sr., MF). Rounding out the team were UNLV senior forward Jenn Wolfe, Utah State senior forward Jenn Flynn and Wyoming senior forward Lucie McDowell.
