Softball First Day of Practice

The Fresno State softball team begins practice for the 2010 season.

2009 (Freshman):
Played in 43 games, mostly as a pinch runner or pinch hitter and started 11 in the outfield ... scored 14 runs, with five hits and five stolen bases on the year ... had two hits vs. UC Santa Barbara on April 6 ... got her first career hit at New Mexico State on March 28 ... Academic All-WAC.

Madera High School: A four-year varsity letterwinner in softball, one-year letterwinner in volleyball ... led the team to an 18-16-1 record freshman year, 22-7-2 record sophomore year, 24-9-0 record her junior year and an impressive 31-4-1 record her senior season ... the 2005 team offensive player of the year ... 2008 individual statistical leader of the year ... career record holder in team batting average (.367) and team hits (143) ... third on career list for most runs scored (85) ... three-time first-team All-TRAC ... three-time first-team Fresno Bee All-Star ... the first softball player to be named the Fresno Grizzlies player of the year in 2006 ... three-time Cal-Hi Sports All-State selection ... a perfect 4.0 GPA all through high school ... a four-year 4.0 scholar-athlete ... class Valedictorian ... a four-year member of Bock "M" ... one-year member of the Sports Medicine Club ... one-year member of CSF.

Personal: Born Dec. 16, 1989 ... parents are Melissa and Dale Badorine ... has one older brother, Darren ... hobbies include working out, shopping, attending Church and hanging out with friends and family ... lists favorite athlete as Derek Jeter ... lists her biggest athletic thrill as playing in the Valley Championship her senior year ... admires her parents the most because they have set an amazing example and she is very proud of the person she is becoming ... chose to attend Fresno State because she had been coming to the Fresno State softball games since she was little and knew right away that she wanted to be a Bulldog ... was also recruited by Stanford, Virginia, Nevada, Colorado State, Indiana, Central Michigan, Oklahoma State and Purdue.
