2012 (FRESHMAN): Only freshman out of eight on the team to play and start in all 59 games, making every start at shortstop ... hit .281 on the year ... scored 20 runs and drove in 17 ... connected for six doubles ... had 23 walks against just 12 strikeouts in 135 at-bats ... her .406 on-base percentage was the highest on the team ... was hit by six pitches, which tied for the seventh most in the WAC ... hit .390 (16-for-41) with runners in scoring position - the highest average on the team ... had six multi-hit games and three multi-RBI games ... had two different five-game hitting streaks, including one to end the season as she went 5-for-10 with two RBI and scored four runs at the WAC Tournament... was 3-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored in a win over Butler, March 11 ... had back-to-back two-RBI games in a March 30 doubleheader vs. BYU ... drove in two runs and scored twice in a victory over LA Tech in the WAC Tournament, May 11.
HIGH SCHOOL: Three-year varsity player ... 2010 All-CIF Southern Section second-team ... three-time All-Pacific Coast League ... batted .346 (91-for-263) as a senior with 58 runs, 68 RBI, nine doubles, two triples, six home runs, 122 total bases, had a .464 slugging percentage and stole one base ... as a junior, she hit .430 (37-for-86) with 21 runs, 27 RBI, four doubles, two triples, two home runs, 51 total bases, had a .593 slugging percentage and stole one base ... as a sophomore, she batted .280 (23-for-82) with 15 runs, 20 RBI, two doubles, a home run, 28 total bases and sported a .341 slugging percentage ... as a freshman she hit .326 (31-for-95) with 22 runs, 21 RBI, three doubles, three home runs, 43 total bases and posted a .453 slugging percentage ... on the ASA level, she helped the Corona Angels to a first place finish at the 2010 Premier Girls Fastpitch National Qualifier.
PERSONAL: Born on Jan. 26, 1993 in Orange County, Calif. ... daughter of Emily Sio ... has one brother, Raymond, and one sister, Savannah ... enjoys reading and do-it-yourself projects ... most admires her mother because "she's always been there for me and always wanted the best for me and has always believed in me" ... chose Fresno State because of the supportive community.
