2008 (Freshman): Posted the most dominating performance in circle as a freshman in school history ... only Bulldog pitcher to have a 40-win season ... just the third Bulldog to tally a 400-strikeout season ... the fourth Bulldog to appear in 50 or more games in a year ... fifth pitcher in school history to post 20 shutouts in a season ... only fifth `Dog to collect 40-plus complete games in a season ... Hamilton Southeastern High School: Was a four-year letterwinner in softball ... led her team to a 31-0 record in '07 and a state championship ... was Indiana Miss Softball ... was a EA Sports first-team All-American ... was an all-north Player of the Year three times ... set a strikeout record in a championship high school game by sitting down 26 batters in 10 innings ... played in a 25-inning game as a sophomore, recording 37 strikeouts with a 0.19 ERA ... during senior season, fanned 426 batters in 167 innings while hitting .378 with six home runs, 11 doubles and 33 RBI.
Personal: Born Aug. 21, 1988 ... parents are Kathleen and Jeffrey Melloh ... younger brother is Jacob and younger sister is Kristin ... lists favorite athlete as Peyton Manning because of his modesty and his never-quit attitude ... her biggest athletic thrill came when she drove in the winning run during the state title game ... admires her parents, family, friends and coaches for their support and lessons taught ... chose to attend Fresno State due to the great softball program and coaching staff, as well as a strong academic program ... enjoys drawing, ultimate Frisbee, dodgeball, swimming and roller blading.
