    Bulldogs Help Strikeout Cancer

Fresno State softball is sponsoring Strikeout Cancer this weekend against Boise State.

Carly Wynn enters her first season as an assistant coach with the Fresno State softball program. Wynn joins the 'Dogs after spending the past two seasons at her alma mater Florida State.

Wynn served as a graduate assistant and volunteer assistant for the Seminoles from 2010-12. While at FSU, Wynn assisted with the offense, defense and camps.

Prior to joining the Noles, Wynn spent a season playing in the National Professional Fastpitch league for the Tennessee Diamonds.

As a student-athlete, Wynn was a three-time captain at Florida State. She was named to the All-ACC team three times in her career and twice to the Academic All-ACC team. Wynn was also named an Academic All-American in 2009 and 2010. The former outfielder has the highest batting average (.378) under the current coaching staff. She also ranks among the top 10 in 8-of-10 offensive categories.

Wynn, a native of Sharpsburg, Ga., graduated from Florida State in May of 2010 with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and in December of 2011 with a master's degree in Sport Management.
