The former professional player and All-ACC honoree works specifically with the Bulldogs' outfielders, slappers, short game and base running. Off the field, she helps coordinate the team's equipment and community service projects, and assists with recruiting, camps and other administrative duties.
The 'Dogs are coming off a 40-win season while claiming the 2015 Mountain West title for the first time since joining the league in 2013 after posting back-to-back +30 win seasons and runner-up conference finishes in 2013 and '14.
In a three-year span the Bulldogs have featured a MW-leading 16 all-conference honorees while individually claiming back-to-back MW Defensive Player of the Year (Moss ’14, Gumz ’15) honors.
Wynn's game-changing drive as player has mirrored her coaching personality and continues to rub off on the 'Dogs who ranked top 30 nationally in 2015 in batting average (27th, .325), ERA (28th, 2.50), on base percentage (27th, .414), winning percentage (30th, .714) and triples per game (sixth, .34).
Similarly, Fresno State led MW teams in ERA, opposing batting average, strikeouts and wins while finishing top three in batting average, on base percentage, runs scored, hits, runs batted in, triples, plate appearances, walks and stolen bases.
Two of Wynn’s outfielders were recognized on the NCAA national charts including Moss who earned a 34th place ranking as one of the nation’s leaders at the plate after posting a season batting average of .439 and tied for 36th in runs per game while the ‘Dogs left fielder, Kierra Willis stands third in the nation for recording nine triples on the year.
As the ‘Dogs starting centerfielder and leadoff batter for the past three seasons, Moss boasts back-to-back second-team All-Region honors and was selected as the 13th pick in the third round to the Chicago Bandits during the 2015 National Fast Pitch College Draft, being the first Bulldog to be drafted by the NPF since 2005. On the base path, the 'Dogs shattered the school season stolen base record in '13 while Moss reset the 2011 career stolen base record on Feb. 21, 2015 and ended her four-year Bulldog career with a new program high of 104 stolen bases. The team's hard work off the field has been equally recognized with nine MW All-Academic nods in 2013 and Academic All-District selections in 2013 (Diange Runge) and '14 (Hannah Harris).
Before joining the distinguished Bulldog program, Wynn served as a graduate assistant and volunteer assistant for the Seminoles from 2010-12, and assisted with the program's offense, defense and camps.
Prior to joining the 'Noles' coaching staff, Wynn spent a season playing in the National Professional Fastpitch league for the Tennessee Diamonds.
As a student-athlete, the three-time team captain helped Florida State to four straight NCAA Tournament trips. A three-time All-ACC outfielder, she sported the highest batting average (.378) under the current coaching staff and still ranks top 10 in eight of 10 squad's all-time offensive categories.
In the classroom her excellence was equally recognized as a two-time Academic All-ACC and Academic All-America honoree. A native of Sharpsburg, Ga., Wynn graduated from Florida State in May of 2010 with a bachelor's degree in Psychology and in December of 2011 with a master's degree in Sport Management.
