FULLERTON, Calif. - The Fresno State softball team (10-6) fell in its Judi Garman Classic opener to Long Beach State (13-6) Thursday night by an 8-0 score in six innings.

The 49ers scored their first run in the second inning after a single and RBI double to right field. LBSU added another run in the fourth inning on a solo homer by Ashlynn Booker to left field.
