Sophomore second baseman Kristin Sylvester then reached on a fielder's choice to load the bases. After Mackin grounded out, freshman designated player Merryann Barr connected for a two-run double to left center to plate both Clark and Perkins while Sylvester went to third. Junior catcher Nichole Willis followed with a RBI single up the middle to score Sylvester while Barr advanced to third. While Willis was called out on an attempted steal, sophomore second baseman Jenna Cervantez answered with a RBI single up the middle to plate Barr.
