    FRESNO, Calif. - Less than two weeks away from the Bulldogs' season opener, softball fans can look forward to another exciting radio schedule on ESPN 790 AM The Deuce this year.

    Among the team's 20 games to be broadcast this spring, the first four will come in two weeks at the Fresno State Kick-Off Classic at Bulldog Diamond.

    The team's home openers vs. Sacramento State and UC Riverside on Friday , February 14 will be broadcast live at 4:15 and 6:30 p.m. Two days later, its final two tilts of the tourney vs. CSU Bakersfield and UC Santa Barbara will also air live Sunday, February 16 at 1:30 and 3:45 p.m.

    Among the remaining broadcasts, five games will feature NCAA Tournament returnees - last year's NCAA runner-up Tennessee, two other World Series advancers in Nebraska and Washington and last year's WAC Conference Champion (and new MW member) San Jose State.

    Other broadcast opponents include Cal Poly, Colorado State, LIU Brooklyn, New Mexico State, Pacific, Saint Mary's, UNLV and Utah State (3 games).

    Christian Lukens returns to handle the play-by-play commentary for 13 games, while Andrew Haynes will broadcast the other seven tilts.

    The `Dogs return seven of their eight starters in the field from a 2013 squad that went 30-24 overall and tied for second place in the MW with an 11-7 mark.

    The future looks even brighter in 2014, as the squad returns all four All-MW picks from last year in senior infielder Vonnie Martin, junior outfielder Brenna Moss and sophomore pitcher Jill Compton and catcher Paige Gumz.

    Next week, Fresno State kicks off its 37th season on Friday, February 7 vs. returning Pac-12 Champion Oregon with the first of five Kajikawa Classic tournament games in Tempe, Ariz.

    The following week, the `Dogs host their first of two home tournaments - the Kick-Off Classic (Friday-Sunday, February 14-16).

    The team then travels to three other early tournaments - the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic in Palm Springs (Feb. 21-23), San Diego State Classic (Feb. 28-March 2) and Judi Garman Classic at Fullerton (March 6-9).

    The `Dogs' other home tournament - the Fresno State Classic - is its biggest and features seven teams and 17 games spread over four days (Thursday-Sunday, March 13-16).
