FRESNO, Calif. - A schedule change now has the No. 23 Fresno State softball team playing a Western Athletic Conference doubleheader against Nevada on Fri., March 24, 6:00 p.m.
The Bulldogs will host the Wolf Pack in a single game on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
The Public Safety Day activities will take place in the Grey Lot, East of Bulldog Diamond, preceding the contest on Sat., March 25.
This Saturday has been designated as Public Safety Day. Representatives from the Fresno and Clovis Police Departments along with the local sheriff departments will be offering information and assistance tips on staying safe.
There will be ID kits for the children and interactive activities with the three law enforcement agencies.
In addition, there will be safety vehicles on hand. Being showcased is a DUI Trailer, Car Seat Safety Trailer, Patrol Cars, K-9 Units, Motor Units, Explorer Program, Bomb Squad Truck and Robots, Bike/Motor/BMW Dirt Patrol, Mounted Unit, Boating Unit, Eagle One, SWAT and a helicopter flyover.
This day also is being used as a day of recognition for those individuals who protect the community. Any law enforcement individual that shows a valid government ID will be admitted for $2. In addition, the officer's family will also be admitted for $2 a piece as well.
The Fresno Police Department will have their color guard present during pregame activities.
Admission to the Public Safety Day is free. Also, admission to any Fresno State softball games is free to university students by presenting a valid ID.
