    FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State softball travels to Cal Poly for an early week doubleheader on March 25 starting at 3 p.m. The Bulldogs return home to begin Mountain West play on March 28 against familiar foe Nevada.

    About Cal Poly
    The Fresno State vs. Cal Poly series began in 1979 with a five game series, which the Bulldogs won two. The `Dogs now own an overall series record of 37-10 over the Mustangs. Cal Poly won the last meeting in 2012 by a score of 4-3.

    Scouting the Mustangs
    Cal Poly has an overall mark of 10-17-1 in 2013. The Mustangs have won five of their last eight games by three or less runs prior to their three-game series against Long Beach State. The Mustangs are hitting .248 as a team with three triples, five home runs and 70 RBI. Kim Westlund is hitting .313 with 26 hits and 14 RBI, including a team-high four doubles. In the circle, Cal Poly has a staff ERA of 3.61 and combined for 117 strikeouts. Chloe Wurst is 6-7 on the mound with a 2.47 ERA and a total of 75 strikeouts.

    Fresno State Leading the Nation
    Sophomore Brenna Moss is leading the nation in triples hit with six this season. She is fifth in the country in triples per game with 0.20. The outfielder is also 26th in stolen bases per game with 0.63. As a team, the Bulldogs are fourth in the country in triples per game with 0.43. Sophomore Maria Sio has 0.37 sacrifice hits per game and is 12th in the nation.

    Mountain West Conference Corner
    In the first season in the Mountain West Conference, Fresno State leads in several statistical categories. Brenna Moss leads with 19 stolen bases and six triples, while Maria Sio has tallied a MW best 11 sacrifice hits. Stesha Brazil is in second with seven home runs and trails the leader by one long ball. Taylor Langdon has the third best ERA in the league (1.45). The `Dogs have the second best team ERA (2.54) and the most triples in the conference with 13. The Bulldogs also lead with 50 stolen bases.

    Langdon Lights Out
    Freshman Taylor Langdon has been lights out in relief for the Bulldogs in her first season. The righty has given up only nine earned runs in 43.1 innings of work in 14 appearances and five starts. She has a 1.45 ERA and a 6-2 record in the circle.

    Angotti Moves into Lineup
    Junior transfer Kapri Angotti has moved into the Fresno State lineup and making quite the impact. The first-year Bulldog is hitting .314 in 10 starts and 20 appearances. She has recorded four RBI, one of which was the game-winning run against Kansas. She made her first start in front of a home crowd and recorded two hits. The outfielder has 10 hits and two runs scored in 2013.

    Gumz Leading the Pack
    Freshman Paige Gumz has started every game of the 2013 campaign behind the plate and is leading the team with a .305 batting average. The catcher has 25 hits on the season, including a team-high seven doubles. Gumz has tallied 10 RBI, 10 runs scored and 10 walks.
