FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State softball team (17-12, 2-2) moved the start times for its remaining two games of its weekend home series vs. Utah State (13-15, 3-1) an hour earlier each day due to weather forecasts.

Saturday's game is now set for a 5 p.m. start time, and Sunday's finale is moved to 11 a.m.

The 'Dogs won Friday's opener by a 6-0 count behind sophomore Jill Compton's five-strikeout shutout and 12 hits and seven stolen bases from the offense.

The Aggies entered the game tied for first in the MW after it swept Colorado State last weekend to open MW play.

Looking ahead promotions-wise, free t-shirts will be thrown out during both games to fans as part of the Strike Out Cancer Awareness Weekend, and fans are encouraged to donate books each day to the First 5 Book Drive.

The Central California Blood Mobile will also be on hand Saturday and fans will get free admission with blood donations, while the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Central Valley organization will have an informational table on-site

Youth can get Freshman Autograph cards signed by Bulldog players after Saturday evening's contest.

On Sunday, as part of the Salute to Sundays ticket promotion, active military or veterans will get free admission with a valid military ID. After the game, youth can run the bases.
