LAS CRUCES, N.M. - Fresno State had three players named to the 2012 All-WAC Softball teams that were announced Wednesday morning at the 2012 WAC Awards Banquet on the opening day of the conference tournament.

Senior pitcher/utility player Michelle Moses was named first-team All-WAC for the third-straight season while senior designated player Courtney Moore and sophomore third baseman Vonnie Martin were both named to the second team.

Moses becomes the 17th player in school history to be named first-team All-Conference three times in a career and the first since Haley Perkins was named first-team All-WAC three times (2006-07, '09). Moses led Fresno State all year in the circle and provided the power in the Bulldog lineup. She finished the regular season with a 21-14 record, 1.98 ERA, a WAC-leading 234 strikeouts and was second in the WAC with 16 home runs.

Moses was named the WAC Pitcher of the Week two times on the season and also threw two no hitters, first on Feb. 23 against Iowa State and again on March 2 vs. Saint Joseph's. In 34 starts, she has thrown a WAC-leading 12 shutouts to tie for the fifth most in the nation.

Moore batted .290 on the season, was second on the team with nine home runs (five that were hit in WAC play) and she was third on the squad with 24 RBIs. She had a career-best nine-game hitting this year and posted seven multi-hit games and five multi-RBI games.

In the season opener againast Toledo, Moore hit her first career grand for the program's 30th overall since 1991 and only just the sixth by a Bulldog at home.

Martin hit .283 on the year, was second on the team with nine doubles and she added four home runs and 14 RBIs. Martin saved her best for WAC play, hitting a team-best .327 in league games. Her six doubles against WAC teams led the Bulldogs and tied for the second most in the conference.

Martin also performed well on the road, leading the team with her .340 (18-for-53) batting average in road games this year with four doubles, four home runs, six RBIs and 10 runs scored.
