    LOS ANGELES - The Fresno State softball team arrived in Los Angeles Thursday afternoon for their one hour scheduled practice at Easton Stadium on the UCLA campus as the `Dogs prepared for their 1 p.m. game to open NCAA Regionals vs. UNLV on Friday.

    Fresno State (36-18) advanced to its NCAA record 28th-straight tournament as the `Dogs earned the automatic berth by defeating Nevada in the WAC Tournament Championship.

    UNLV is 31-19 on the year. Fresno State and UNLV met last at the Palm Springs Tournament in 2008 as the `Dogs picked up the 2-0 victory.

    Long Beach State will take on UCLA in the second game of the day on Friday at 3:30 p.m.
