The 2011-12 swimming and diving team wrapped up the season with a banquet honoring the season, seniors and school records.
For the fourth year in a row, the Bulldogs have had over 20 student-athletes earn winter academic all-WAC honors.
The Fresno State swimming and diving team is in sixth place after day one of the four-day WAC Championship.
The Fresno State swimming and diving team (4-6) arrived in San Antonio, Texas to compete in the WAC Championships, February 22-25, 2012.
Seniors Heidi Gjoen, Jordan Morillo and Dede Torres were honored for their four years of commitment to the Fresno State swimming and diving program.

2011-12 (Senior):One of three seniors who have been with Coach Fleck since the program was reinstated in 2008 ... recorded the second fastest team time in the 50 Backstroke with a 27.71 at the Arena Invitational ... also recorded the second fastest team time in the 100 Backstroke with a 56.91 at the Arena Invitational ... member of the school record breaking 800 Freestyle Relay team timing in at 7:30.53 at the WAC Championships ... holds school records in the 400 Medley Relay, 800 Freestyle Relay and the 200 Backstroke.
2010-11 (Junior): Continued to improve as a top competitor in the backstroke...broke the Fresno State record and improved her career-best in the 200-yard backstroke event...placed fifth at the WAC Championship Meet with a time of 2:00.35, improving by .30 second...was a leg of the 400-yard medley relay team at WAC Championships to break another school record with a time of 3:49.66, beating the previous record set in 1997-98 by over 1.5 seconds...part of the record-breaking 200-yard medley relay team who clocked a time of 1:42.25, smashing the previous Fresno State record by more than three seconds...placed second in the 200-yard backstroke at Idaho...won the 100- and 200-yard backstroke in the dual meet against Washington State.
2009-10 (Sophomore): Established herself as one of the WAC's elite backstroke competitors ... finished fifth in the 100 backstroke (57.25) and 10th in the 200 backstroke (2:04.91) at the WAC Championships ... team leader and voted team MVP swimmer ... was the Bulldogs' top swimmer in the 100 and 200 backstroke events as well as the 200 IM event ... dominated the 200 back (2:08.41) against Fresno Pacific to get her first individual event victory of the season ... finished first in the 100 (59.01) and second in the 200 back (2:09.09) against defending WAC Champions Nevada ... conquered the 200 backstroke against Pacific with a time of 2:06.59 ... accumulated a total of eight individual event wins ... contributed as a crucial leg in three 400 freestyle relay victories ... finished second in both the 100 (1:00.16) and 200 backstroke (2:11.40) events against defending National Champion Cal ... ranked sixth overall in the WAC in the 100 backstroke with her season-best effort of 57.51 ... ranked fourth overall in WAC for the 200 backstroke with a season-best 2:01.32 ... finished third overall in the 100 back (58.80) and second in the 200 back (2:06.34) at the WAC Shootout ... earned academic All-WAC honors for the second-consecutive season.
2008-09 (Freshman): Broke the school record and finished third at the WAC Championships in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:00.65 in her first college championship meet ... qualified for conference finals in the 500 freestyle ... earned first-team All-WAC honors ... swam the 100 backstroke eight-tenths a second off the school record and finished fifth place with podium recognition at WAC Championships ... contributed a solid lead off on the 200 medley team that went one-half a second short of shattering a school record in the conference championships ... kicked off the regular season with three individual event wins against rival San Jose State and UC Santa Cruz ... continued to progress her times against San Diego State and earned first place finished in the 100 backstroke and 200 backstroke events in the team's closest meet point wise, a 27 point meet ... earned two-time gobulldogs.com student-athlete of the week honors.
