Mazutaityte edged Boise State's Sam Wicks by .29 seconds and set a new Fresno State record in the 200-yard backstroke championship final.
Mazutaityte placed third in the 100 backstroke championship final and nine other Bulldogs appeared in finals events.
Esme Gullick broke the 200 IM program record twice and reached consolation finals along with Leah Hatayama in the 50 free and Shelbie Holden in the 3-meter dives.
Fresno State set a new top mark in the 200-yard medley relay with Ugne Mazutaityte, Brooke Rodriguez, Tarryn Rennie and Leah Hatayama.
The Fresno State swimming and diving team looks for big performances from Leah Hatayama and Ugne Mazutaityte.

2015-16 (SENIOR): Placed first in the 50, 100 & 200 freestyle events and was a member of the first place 400 free relay team on Jan. 3 against CSU Bakersfield and her 200 free time (1:53.55) was a personal-best ... Swam the second-fastest time in Fresno State history in the 50 free (22.98) on Nov. 19 at the A3 Performance Invitational ... placed first against Fresno Pacific and UC Santa Cruz and swam a personal-best in the 200 Freestyle (1:54.77), placed first against both teams in the 50 Freestyle, was a member of the first-place 200 Freestyle Relay team against both teams and was a member of the 400 Medley Relay team that placed first against UC Santa Cruz on Nov. 14 ... was a part of the first place 200 Medley Relay and 400 Freestyle Relay teams and placed first in the 50 and 100 Freestyles against Oregon State and Pacific on Nov. 7 ... placed first in the 50 Freestyle and second in the 100 Freestyle and was a part of the first place 200 Freestyle Relay team on Oct. 31 at Nevada ... placed second in the 100 Freestyle at the UOP Invite on Oct. 24.
2014-2015 (JUNIOR): Set personal-best times in the 50 and 100 Freestyle and 100 Butterfly ... was a part of the Fresno State record-breaking relay team in the 400 Medley ... holds the second-best Fresno State all-time top times in the 50 and 100 Freestyle.
2013-2014 (SOPHOMORE): Built upon her strong freshman year by continuing to be a strong presence for the 'Dogs ... swam Fresno State career-best times in the 50 freestyle and the 100 fly at the Mountain West Championships in February ... her 23.29 seconds in the 50 freestyle at the MW Championships was good for the second-best time in school history ... she was apart of the 400 medley relay team that set a school school at the MW Championships with a time of 3:49.08, she swam the final leg in 50.46 seconds.
2012-2013 (FRESHMAN): Was named Freshman of the Year, an award voted on by her teammates ... made immediate contributions to the team in her first season as a Bulldog ... was a member of two school record breaking relay teams ... the 200 freestyle relay team earned a second place finish at the MW Championship with a 1:31.60 ... the 400 freestyle relay team placed sixth at MW with a 3:23.13 ... recorded the third fastest 50 free time of the season with a 23.70 at the MW Championship ... recorded the fourth fastest 100 free time at the MW Championship with a 51.97 ... recorded the second fastest 100 fly time with a 58.74 at the MW Championship.

PERSONAL: Parents are Patti and Rodney Hatayama ... has an older brother Clint and her older sister Stephanie Hatayama swam for Fresno State from 2009-11 ... former Sanger HS teammate Haley Washburn will swim at Fresno State as well ... hobbies include camping, shopping and sleeping ... lists her favorite athlete as her sister, Stephanie, because she never stops to take a break or because it is too hard, it seems like she has no limit ... her biggest athletic thrill is looking up at the scoreboard and seeing her or her teammates finished first and when she gets a personal best time ... admires her coaches most because they always pushed her to her limit and made her who she is today ... chose to attend Fresno State because her sister had a great time, everyone seemed really nice and she had a good vibe when she went on her recruiting visit.
