Personal: Parents are Susan and Tim Ruiz ... her father, Tim, played football for four years at Utah State ... hobbies include shopping, watching movies, hanging out with friends and sleeping ... lists her favorite athlete as Michael Phelps because he is the best male athlete to ever be able to do what he did ... admires Natalie Coughlin the most because she is such an awesome athlete and she never gives up ... also recruited by Washington State, Boise State, Colorado State and CSU Bakersfield ... she chose to attend Fresno State because of Jeanne Fleck and the connection the girls on the team had.
