Divers Show Well on Day 2 at UCLA

    LOS ANGELES -- A day after placing eighth in the 1-Meter competition, Hannah Prigge garnered a third place finish in the 3-Meter diving event on Saturday at the UCLA Diving Invitational.

    The senior from Rocklin found herself in seventh after scoring a 288.15 in the preliminary round, but then scored a 293.15 in the finals for a total of 581.30 that moved her past four other swimmers and into the third place finish. Prigge entered competition on Saturday as the Mountain West Conferenece's third-ranked 3-Meter diver.

    USC's Haley Ishimatsu won the event with a score of 630.95. She also won the 1-Meter competition on Friday.

    Sophomore Lacie Ruth scored a 224.80 in the preliminary round to finish in 19th. She missed out on qualifying for the finals by less than four points. Freshman Noelle Farrer finished in 26th with a score of 211.40.

    The Bulldogs will finish competition at the UCLA Diving Invitational on Sunday morning when they compete on the Platform.
