FRESNO, Calif. - On the final day of competition at the Bruin Diving Invite hosted by UCLA, junior Hannah Prigge earns a third place finish in the Platform dive with a final score of 498.30.
With a first round score of 256.55, Prigge headed into the final round of 12 divers with a second place seed. Each round's score was a total of five dives. After the final round Prigge had a combined first and second round score of 498.30 good for a third place finish.
Prigge came in right behind two University of Southern California divers Haley Ishimatsu (597.55) who won the Platform event and Samantha Adams (503.25) who squeaked pass Prigge in the final round.
Freshman Lacie Ruth also competed in the Platform dive scoring a 137.20 in the preliminary round finishing 36th.
The Fresno State swimming and diving team will compete in the Beach Cup this weekend Friday, Jan. 18- Saturday, Jan. 19. The event is hosted by Loyola Marymount in Los Angeles, Calif. and the University of San Diego will be competing there as well.
