`Dogs Place Second In 200 Free Relay

FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State swimming and diving team is having a great Mountain West Championship meet with three more school records and a second place relay finish Friday evening. After three days of competition the Bulldogs sit in eighth place with 188 points.
"We had such a great night again and I am so proud of my team," said head swimming and diving coach Jeanne Fleck. "We broke three more school records and we are just swimming really well."
The 200 free relay team, Dani Yoho, Alex Madsen, Lucy Titchin and Leah Hatayama, broke the school record by more than two seconds with a new time of 1:31.60. The previous record was set during the 2010-11 season with a 1:33.70. Yoho's lead-off time set a new 50 free school record again, dropping down to 22.32 from yesterday's 22.39.
Madsen swam a quick race in the 100 backstroke breaking the school record with her time of 55.27. She broke the previous record of 55.45 by Summir Case 2000-01.
In the 400 IM, Brittany Buna finished in 16th place with a time of 4:26.46. In the 100 fly, senior Rayanne Nguyen clocked in 57.50 for a 22nd place finish. In the 200 free the top Bulldog finisher was Lucy Titchin with her time 1:51.24 and in the 100 breast, Michelle Dockendorf finished in 19th with a 1:04.41.
Day four of competition will include the 1650 free, the 200 back, the 100 free, the 200 breast, the 200 fly, the platform dive and the 400 free relay.
