FRESNO, Calif. - The diving Bulldogs, Stacey Luke and Hannah Prigge, competed in the 3-meter dive at the NCAA Zone E Diving qualifier held in the Cadet Natatorium at the United States Air Force Academy.
The divers are battling to secure one of the limited spots that transfer them to the NCAA Diving Championships. They are competing against some of the best divers in the nation working to execute every dive.
Prigge, who broke the 3-meter dive school record at Fresno State three times this season, scored a 262.20 at today's competition. Prigge finished 21st just missing the finals where the top 18 divers from the preliminaries continue. Luke finished 36th in the 3-meter dive with a score of 232.75.
These two Bulldogs are representing Fresno State for the second consecutive year together at the NCAA Zones, and Luke is competing in her third consecutive year.
The 'Dogs will have one more opportunity tomorrow to qualify for the NCAA Diving Championships with the Platform dive. Prigge is the WAC Champion in this event and it is arguably her best dive.
