LOS ANGELES - Fresno State sophomore Ashleigh Raley finished fifth in the 1-meter springboard with a score of 460.45 Thursday, at the Trojan Diving Invitational.
Raley was fifth out of a field of 22 competitors.
In the semifinals, Raley placed sixth with a score of 219.60 to earn a spot in the finals.
Bulldog freshmen McKenzie Elston (149.10) and Amanda Hooper (111.90) finished 18th and 21st respectively.
USC's 2002 NCAA individual diving champion, Blythe Hartley, won the event with a score of 659.00. Stanford's Ashlee Rosenthal was second (528.05), UCLA's Regan Gosnell (487.55) placed third and Stanford's McKenze Murphy (473.05) finished fourth.
The invitational resumes Friday with the 3-meter springboard beginning at 10 a.m.
