FRESNO, Calif. - Senior diver Stacey Luke was named the Mountain West Diver of the Week for meets contested from Jan. 22-27, 2013. This is Luke's second honor of the season and she earned it for her outstanding performance on Senior Day.
Luke, who hails from Kenmore, Wash., captured first place in the 1-meter springboard and second place in the 3-meter springboard in the Bulldogs' meet against UC Davis on Jan. 26. Luke scored personal-bests in both events with a 295.70 to win the 1-meter and a 290.05 off the 3-meter. The 1-meter score also set a new Fresno State school record. Both marks qualify Luke for the NCAA Diving Zones in March.
Earlier in the week Luke was also named the Fresno State Sysco student-athlete of the week for her standout performances.
Up next, the Fresno State swimming and diving team will compete at San Jose State on Saturday, Feb. 2 at noon. This will be the Bulldogs last dual meet before they head to the Mountain West Championships in San Antonio, Texas.
