FRESNO, Calif. -- Fresno State swimming and diving will honor their four seniors on Saturday, January 31, when they host San Jose State in a dual meet on Senior Day at the Aquatics Center. It is the final tune-up for the Mountain West Conference Championships in San Antonio, Texas on February 19-22.

"San José State is going to be a challenge for us this weekend," Bulldogs head coach Jeanne Fleck said. "We will use this to get ready for our conference championship."

The four seniors - Brittany Buna, Michelle Dockendorf, Brooke Fuller and Hannah Prigge - will be honored with a ceremony prior to the meet. Swimming will begin at noon. Fleck has credited this group for their leadership and for changing the culture of the program at Fresno State.

"These ladies have been the best group of leaders we've ever had," Fleck said. "All four have provided leadership that every coach wants year in and year out and they have all made a huge change on the program here at Fresno State."

San José State, in their first year in the Mountain West, has proven to be one of the top teams in the conference. The Spartans are the two-time defending Western Athletic Conference champs.

The two teams have had two common events this season. Both competed in the Bulldog Invitational and the Arena Invitational early in the season. Fresno State finished ahead in the Bulldog Invitational and San José State topped the `Dogs at the Arena Invitational.

"This weekend is to honor our seniors and it is a fun weekend," Fleck said.

Saturday's dual will also be available on the Mountain West Network. It will be the second appearance for the swimming and diving team on the network. Go to gobulldogs.com to watch all the action.
