FRESNO, Calif. - Fresno State's Hannah Prigge was named the Verizon WAC Diver of the Week for the week of Jan. 30-Feb. 5. This was her first WAC honor of the season.

Prigge, a sophomore from Rocklin, Calif. (Whitney HS), won the 3-meter diving competition during the dual meet against San Jose State Saturday. With a score of 310.65, she broke her own school record of 295.73, which she set earlier this season. Her score beat the second place finisher by more than 30 points. She added a second-place finish in the 1-meter diving competition as well.

"Hannah did fantastic on Saturday," said head diving coach Taryn Patrick. "She was very calm and consistent and her performance should definitely boost her confidence going into WAC Championships."

Up next, Prigge and the Bulldogs will prepare for the WAC Championships that will be held in San Antonio, Texas on February 22-25, 2012.
