    FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State swimming and diving team heads south to San Antonio, Texas for the Western Athletic Conference Championships. The championships will be held at the Palo Alto Natatorium at Palo Alto College from February 22-25, 2012. In 2011, the Bulldogs finished in seventh, one place higher than their eighth place finish in 2010. Last year, Fresno State broke multiple school records at this event.

    WAC Championship Schedule
    The championships begin on Wednesday night at 4:30 p.m., with both the finals of the 200 medley and 800 free relays. Prelims will begin at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday while finals will start at 4:30 p.m. each night.

    WAC Championships Recaps, Results and Live Streaming
    All recaps and results will be posted on GoBulldogs.com for the Fresno State swimming and diving teams. Live results will be posted following every heat on www.wacsports. com. The WAC will be streaming the finals of all four nights. Viewers can sign up by visiting www.WAC.tv . Viewers that sign up will be able to watch Wednesday relays for free. The remaining three nights can be viewed for a subscription of $5.95 per night or a full championship package can be purchased for $9.95.

    Prigge Picks Up WAC Honor
    Hannah Prigge was named the Verizon WAC Diver of the Week for the week of Jan. 30-Feb. 5. This was her first WAC honor of the season. Prigge won the 3-meter diving competition during the dual meet against San Jose State Saturday. With a score of 310.65, she broke her own school record of 295.73, which she set earlier this season.

    'Dogs Make A Splash On Senior Day
    In the last Fresno State home meet for seniors Heidi Gjoen, Jordan Morillo and Dede Torres, the 'Dogs delivered solid swims and record breaking dives as they fell to the San Jose State Spartans 184-115. The divers had an outstanding day off the boards starting with sophomore Hannah Prigge taking the 3-meter with a score of 310.65, breaking the school record she set a couple months ago with a 295.73. Stacey Luke also had a personal best score with a 279.37. Luke took the 1-meter with a 276.97 and while Prigge came in right behind her with a 267.52.

     

     

    Luke Earns Second WAC Honor
    Fresno State's Stacey Luke was named the Verizon WAC Diver of the Week for the week of Jan. 16-22. This was Luke's second WAC honor this season. Luke, a junior from Kenmore, Wash. (Inglemoor HS), set a career high and broke a school record while taking first in the 1-meter diving competition at the University of San Diego Beach Cup. Her score of 294.70 was 30 points higher than the second-place finisher and broke the 10-year-old Fresno State record, previously held by Ashleigh Raley.

    'Dogs Finish 2nd At USD Beach Cup
    The Fresno State swimming and diving team competed in The USD Beach Cup in San Diego, Calif. against the University of San Diego, Loyola Marymount and Pepperdine. Fresno State came in a solid second place finish with 285 behind USD with 352 points. The Bulldogs delivered strong performances all weekend highlighted with Stacey Luke' school-record breaking 1-meter dive.
