FRESNO, Calif. -- The Fresno State swimming and diving program will host their 2nd annual Splash Dinner and Silent Auction on Saturday, May 10 at the Aquatics Center. The night will get kicked off at 6 p.m.
Tickets are $40 per person or a table of eight can be purchased for $300. The night will feature a cocktail hour, silent auction, luau dinner and a live dessert auction. Live entertainment will be provided by a Polynesian dance group after the cocktail hour.
Last year's event helped the program purchase training equipment and make other improvements around the Aquatics Center.
"We are raising money to help benefit the athletes," Bulldogs head coach Jeanne Fleck said. "It is to give them stuff that we are unable to give to the girls otherwise."
The inaugural dinner last year saw a turnout of 140 people and this year, the staff and event organizers are hoping to get 160 or more attendees.
"We try to make this really, really fun for everyone that comes out to support us," Fleck said. "The community has been wonderful in supporting us and we want to say thank you to everyone who has given us donations.
Individuals or groups that wish to attend are asked to RSVP to Judy Lea by Monday, May 5. She can be contacted at (559) 278-4112 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
