FRESNO, Calif. - Dani Yoho, a native of Sugar Land, Texas, won the 50-yard freestyle race at the Early Bird Invite over the weekend with a speedy time of 23.41. This time ranks her fifth in the nation for that event and also marks her as the fastest 50 free sprinter in the Mountain West Conference.

"We are really excited about where Dani has started this season," said head swimming and diving coach Jeanne Fleck. "She is on track to having a great senior season."

Yoho is starting her senior season as a Bulldog and was a part of Fleck's very first recruiting class. Yoho was a swimmer in high school who showed great potential and since she became a Bulldog she has made huge strides towards the top.

She is the Fresno State school record holder for the 50 free (22.87) and the 100 free (50.20). She is also a member of the 200 and 400 freestyle school record relay team as well as the 200 and 400 medley school record relay team.

Yoho and the Bulldogs will return to the Fresno State Aquatics Center on Saturday, Oct. 27 at noon to swim Nevada and Fresno Pacific.
