    FRESNO, Calif. -- The Fresno State swimming and diving team will compete against Mountain West opponent San Diego State on Saturday, Dec. 1 at the Aztec Aquaplex. This will be the final competition of 2012 before the Bulldogs compete again in 2013 on January 5 at CSU Bakersfield.

    Scouting the Competition:
    San Diego State Aztecs
    • The Aztecs currently are ranked in Collegeswimming.com's Top 25 National Poll.
    • Finished 3rd out of 17 at the Arena Invitational in Long Beach, Calif.
    • SDSU is undefeated in dual meets this season so far, 5-0.
    • Won the Pacific Invitational in Stockton, Calif.

    Madsen Named Sysco Student -Athlete of the Week
    Sophomore swimmer Alex Madsen helped lead the 'Dogs to a seventh place finish out of 15 teams at the Phill Hansel Invite in Houston, Texas from Nov. 15-17, 2012. Madsen broke the Fresno State school record in the 200 IM (2:04.80) twice in one day. She did it once in the preliminary race (2:04.67) and then again in the final race (2:04.33). She also swam a lifetime best time in the 100 backstroke with a 55.83 and placed 10th in the finals out of over 40 swimmers.

    Prigge Earns MW Honor
    Junior diver Hannah Prigge earned the Mountain West Diver of the Week honor for meets contested from Nov. 12-18, 2012. This was Prigge's first MW honor of the season. Prigge, who hails from Rocklin, Calif., had a solid performance for the Bulldogs at the Phill Hansel Invitational in Houston, Texas. Prigge became one of two MW divers to record an NCAA qualifying score in the platform dive this season. She scored a league-leading 243.75 and placed fourth in the event.

    Bulldogs Finish 7th At Phill Hansel Invite
    After the three-day Phill Hansel Invite, the Fresno State Bulldogs finished seventh out of 15 teams with a total of 126 points. Diver Hannah Prigge's best performance came in the Platform dive where she placed fourth of 35 divers. Sophomore Alex Madsen excelled in the pool breaking the Fresno State 200 IM school record with her new time of 2:04.33. Senior sprinter Dani Yoho recorded an NCAA B-cut time in the 50 free where she finished third in the finals with a time of 22.90. The Bulldogs swam a great meet and set new season best times in every event they competed in.
