Six-In-A-Row: No. 16 Bulldogs Capture WAC Crown

The 16th-ranked Fresno State women's tennis team wins convincingly, beating Boise State 4-0 on their home court at the Appleton Tennis Center in Boise, Idaho.

Danon Beatty joins the Fresno State women's tennis team once again as a volunteer coach for Simon Thibodeau.

Beatty started playing tennis for Fresno State after transferring from Cal Poly in 2006, and continued playing until graduation in 2009. During her time as an athlete, Beatty had many accomplishments including second-team All-WAC selection in singles in 2007. Beatty plans to help out the team by giving private lessons, going to group practices, traveling with the team to fall tournaments, and attending/coaching at home games during the spring.

Beatty is fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and also volunteers with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community. Her passion for ASL led her to pursue a Masters in Communicative Disorders and Deaf Education, which she hopes to complete in May 2012. Along with ASL, Beatty enjoys sleeping, going to the gym, spending time with friends and family, hiking, camping, anything outdoors.
