Bulldogs Fall to No. 7 Baylor

    FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State Bulldogs sixtieth-ranked women's tennis team was swept by the sixth-ranked Baylor Lady Bears tennis team on Saturday at the Baylor Tennis Center, 7-0.

    Continuing their travels in Texas, the Bulldogs headed to Waco, Texas to take on the nationally ranked No. 6 Baylor University.

    Fresno State boasts its nationally ranked player, Marianne Jodoin who competed on court one in singles and doubles today.

    Baylor boasts four players nationally ranked in singles and one team in doubles.

    Starting the day off in doubles, the Lady Bears swept the doubles taking an early lead against the Bulldogs.

    In singles, Fresno State struggled to keep their energy alive and dropped their matches on all courts.

    For the first time this season, Abby Hayley a freshman from Texas competed on court No. 2 against No. 30 Dianan Nakic. Abby earned a game in each set.

    The Bulldogs continue their travels to SMU tomorrow at noon and then return for a home match on March 3 against BYU at Wathen Tennis Center.
