Agrawal and Yang Set to Compete in Finals

MORAGA, Calif. ---The Fresno State women's tennis team finished day two of the St. Mary's Invitational with five victories at the Timothy Korth Tennis Complex in Moraga, Calif. on Saturday.
Junior Aishwarya Agrawal and freshman Claire Yang won their semifinal doubles match by default and will play the No. 3 seed, Danielle Silva and Katie Le of Santa Clara in the championship match on Sunday.
In singles action Fresno State went 4-for-7 on day two.
Agrawal and Watts won both of their respected matches in the round of 16 to advance to the singles quarterfinals. Agrawal defeated Danielle Flores of St. Mary's in straight sets (7-5,6-4), and Watts won her match over Santa Clara's Delphine Rouvillois (6-2,6-1). Agrawal and Watts both went on to drop their matches in the quarterfinals.
In the consolation round, Susdorf won both of her matches, defeating Santa Clara's Stephanie Skaras (6-1,4-6,1-0(6)) and Reka Rohonyi of Loyola Marymount (6-1, 6-4).
"As a team we are still trying to be consistent, we still need to make sure that we treat every match the same," said Fresno State head coach Ryan Stotland. "It is a learning process and I think we learned some things today that we can take into the final day. I am excited to see how we finish in the doubles final."
The Bulldogs conclude the final day of the St. Mary's Invitational on Sunday, Oct. 13.
