Women's Tennis Players Fall in Semifinals

FRESNO, Calif. - Though the tournament ended too soon for Kim Niggemeyer, her advancement to the semifinals was a first for Fresno State women's tennis.

Niggemeyer fell to sixth-seeded Jessica Lehnhoff of Florida 6-1, 6-3 in the semifinal of the Riviera All-American Championships held today in Pacific Palisades. Lehnhoff, a three-time ITA All-American, will match up against Old Dominion's Nataly Cahana tomorrow in the final round of the tournament.

In today's doubles semifinal, top-seeded Simone Jardim/Kim Niggemeyer were upset by Linda Faltynova/Katarzyna Kolodynska of Oklahoma State 8-3. Florida's Lindsay Dawaf/Jessica Lehnhoff will play Oklahoma State tomorrow for the championship title.
