    FRESNO, Calif. ---The Fresno State women's tennis team finished its fall season at the Thunderbird Invitational this weekend at the Whiteman Tennis Center in Tempe, Ariz.

    Juniors Aishwarya Agrawal and Tanya Murtagh represented Fresno State in a total of eight matches in their final tournament of the fall season.

    "We got some much needed matches that Ash and Tanya needed," said Fresno State head coach Ryan Stotland. "We got experience this weekend that will help us through to our next season."

    The Bulldogs weekend was highlighted with a doubles victory over Petra Niedermayerova and Mariaa Panaite of Kansas State (8-6) on day two of the tournament.

    "We are looking forward to our off season and then we are ready to go for the spring," added Stotland.

    Looking ahead to spring, Fresno State opens its season at the California Winter Invite Jan. 17-19 before playing Clemson on Jan. 25 for ITA Kick-Off Weekend.
