    Bulldogs Conclude Road Trip in Pullman
    The No. 66 Fresno State women's tennis team concludes its nine-match road trip with matches against Idaho, Washington State and No. 71 Princeton this weekend in Pullman, Wash. The Bulldogs kick off play with a dual against the Vandals (4-1) on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. The `Dogs then face the Cougars (8-1) on Saturday at 12 p.m., and then the Princeton Tigers (4-3) on Sunday at 10 a.m. All matches will be played at the Simmelink Tennis Courts.

    About the Competition
    Idaho enters Thursdays match against the Bulldogs on a four-game winning streak. The Vandals most recently defeated Seattle (5-0) on Feb. 8. Fresno State dominates the all-times series with Idaho, having one all 10 of the matchups, including a 7-0 victory in 2011.

    As the home team, Washington State has won its last six straight matches, and only has one loss this season to Hawaii Pacific. The Cougars are 5-0 at home this year under head coach Lisa Hart. The Bulldogs lead the Cougars 13-1 all-time.

    This will only be only the second ever matchup of Princeton and Fresno State. The first time they faced was in 2005 and the Bulldogs won 7-0. The Tigers are currently nationally ranked at No. 71 and most recently defeated Brown 4-2 on Feb. 9.

    ITA Rankings
    Fresno State was ranked No. 66 in the fifth round of rankings that were released by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association on Feb. 11. In addition to the team ranking, sophomore Sophie Watts earned a singles ITA ranking of No. 41, moving up 63 spots from her original ranking of No. 104. While Aishwarya Agrawal and Claire Yang dropped their national doubles ranking, they have maintained a regional doubles ranking of No. 7. Watts was also ranked at No. 15 in the ITA Northwest Region rankings. The next round of rankings will be release on Feb. 18.

    On the Road for Nine
    Fresno State opened its spring season with a month-long road trip in California, South Carolina, Kansas and Washington. The Bulldogs have now played six of their nine road matches and head to Washington State to wrap up their final three duals against Idaho, Washington State and No. 71 Princeton this weekend.

    Home Opener
    After beginning the season with nine dual road matches, the Bulldogs are set to host No. 56 Santa Clara for their home opener on Friday, Feb. 21 at 3 p.m. at the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center. Fresno State will then hit the courts two days later to face Boise State for their first MW match of the year at 10 a.m. Last season the 'Dogs recorded a 7-1 record at home at the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center, including a perfect 3-0 record in Mountain West play in Fresno.

    Stotland Enters Second Season
    Head coach Ryan Stotland enters his second season at the helm of the Fresno State women's tennis program. In his first year at the reigns, Stotland led the team to a 7-3 conference record, which finished the Bulldogs tied for second in the Mountain West. In their first-year in the conference, Stotland's Bulldogs garnered multiple accolades. Under his guidance freshman Rana Sherif Ahmed won the Mountain West Freshman of the Year award, along with being named to the All-Mountain West Singles Team and All-Mountain West Doubles team with senior Melissa McQueen. Under Stotland's leadership three Bulldogs also earned MW Player of the Week in 2013. Stotland also guided the 'Dogs to their highest ITA ranking of No. 52, which came on Feb. 12, 2013, and also had two doubles pairs earn ITA rankings throughout the year.
