Weekly Match Notes
FRESNO, Calif. ---The Fresno State women's tennis team will host its third of six straight home matches Thursday afternoon beginning at 3 p.m. at the Spalding G. Wathen Tennis Center as the 'Dogs take on Pacific.
The Bulldogs, who are ranked 66th in the latest ITA national rankings, split its opening two matches of the home stand, defeating Cal Poly 4-3 and falling to No. 42 Kansas State 5-2.
About the Tigers
Pacific enters Thursday's match coming off a loss to another Mountain West opponent, Nevada, 5-2. The Tigers have lost five of their last six, with their only win being a 4-3 win over the same Cal Poly team the 'Dogs faced less than a week ago.
Fresno State leads the all-time series 18-9 and have not lost to Pacific since 1995. The teams last met in 2011 with the 'Dogs picking up the win 5-2.
Conference Matches Up Next
The match against the Tigers will be the last before Fresno State's spring break. The 'Dogs will return from the break and round out the season with conference play. Three home matches in three days will close play at the Wathen Tennis Center and then the team will travel for four remaining conference matches.

McQueen Leading The Way
Senior Melissa McQueen leads the 'Dogs this season in singles with eight wins in dual matches and 18 overall victories. Her 18 wins is the highest wins total of her career surpassing the 17 overall wins she recorded last season. McQueen has moved into the top 20 all-time wins by a singles player in Fresno State history as she sits tied for 18th with Valerie Stukovsky with 65 career singles wins.
