Sophomore Marianne Jodoin has been named the Fresno State Sysco Student-Athlete of the Week (April 30-May 6) after earning the women's WAC Player of the Year award for the second time at the WAC championships, April 26-29.
She is currently ranked No. 41 in singles nationally and went 29-8 overall on the season. She posted a perfect 5-0 mark vs. WAC opponents and is 3-4 on the season vs. ranked opponents. She was named WAC All-Tournament team in singles, First Team All-WAC in singles, Second Team All-WAC in doubles with partner Laura Pola and WAC Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week six times this season. Jodoin was named WAC Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year last season.
Jodoin went 3-0 in singles at the WAC Championship, 2-1 in doubles with partner Laura Pola and was a driving force behind the Bulldogs' second-place finish in WAC.
